"Kick the Habit" can Help You Stop Smoking or Chewing

Twenty minutes after your last puff on a cigarette, your health begins to improve. Imagine what can happen in one day, one week, one year. Whether you smoke or chew tobacco, you can benefit from the tips offered in this four-session class.

Sharon Rateike, B.S.E., C.E.S., R.C.E.P. and exercise physiologist will lead participants through the stages of quitting, offer tips and support on strategies and provide resources for those looking to make this lifestyle change. As a former tobacco user, both cigarettes and chewing tobacco, Rateike is able to understand the needs and challenges associated with quitting.

Participating in a class like this can help increase your chances of success versus attempting to quit on your own. The class is intended to be a lower pressure environment to offer information and guidance; the intention is not to focus on the bad things about tobacco, but instead the improvements you will see when you quit and how to be successful.
