United Way offers a number of advantages to donors that aren’t necessarily available through a donation made directly to another organization or program. And Fort HealthCare has made it easy and fun for employees to participate.
- Know your United Way Ambassador. Every department at Fort HealthCare has a corresponding representative that is positioned to encourage, motivate, and coordinate specific fund raising activities. If you are unsure who your department’s United Way Ambassador is, ask your manager or Human Resources.
- Pledge Cards. Every employee has an opportunity to fill out a campaign pledge card, to choose a donation amount and the option to allocate what you want your donation to be used for. Even if you are not in a position to donate or participate, your pledge card must be returned to your Ambassador or Human Resources by the campaign deadline (12/15/21).
- Online Silent Auction. Several different gift baskets and donated items have been collected by various departments and are showcased on the Fort HealthCare Intranet for bidding. The silent auction will close on Wednesday, December 15th at end of day.
- Employee Prizes and Drawings. Several incentives and prizes have been established for employees only. There will be prizes awarded for all contributors, increased giving incentive (new contributor or 10% increase), early bird drawings (return pledge card by Monday, 12/6), department award for the highest percentage of financial goal reached, will get a pizza or sub party and individual drawing will get a chance to win a day off with pay ($6 for 26 pay periods or the equivalent).
- Special Fundraising Events. During the campaign, (12/1 – 12/15), several departments have already planned to offer special lunches and activities to help boost donations and increase the fun! Look for information from your Ambassador or on the Intranet for details.
