fhc wwc logo-heart-webWomen Who CARE is an organization dedicated to making a difference in the health and well-being of area communities. Women Who CARE seeks to build on the simple understanding that the health and well-being of our community is tied to our connections with each other. “Gathering for a shared purpose, our members will enjoy deeper personal and professional relationships with one another. Together we learn about the health challenges in our area and seek out ways to help our loved ones and neighbors live healthier lives.” says Shirley Johnson, WWC Co-Chair.

Women Who CARE has chosen the health of area youth as its first focus. Children learn their health habits from the adults who influence them at home, school and in the community. Those habits have life-long impact and get harder to change as years go by. Women Who CARE will engage with local health experts to identify ways we can expand opportunities to help every child learn to make healthy choices in their life.

“The passion and energy of the Women Who CARE leadership committee is inspiring.

This group will certainly make an impact through the relationships among members and empowering women to create healthier communities.” Says Dwight Heaney, Executive Director of the Foundation.
