Our HealthWorks program has been providing workforce solutions to area businesses for over 20 years and counting.

HealthWorks provides cost-effective solutions to workplace safety and concerns. Treatments and services can take place at our designated Industrial Rehab area in our Fort Atkinson location, or on-site at your company.

Workforce Solutions include:

  • Post-offer, pre-employment testing (POET)
    • This is a 30-60 minute test based on the physical demands of a job
  • Job analysis
    • A process performed at a job site to identify and measure the physical demands of a job and help develop accommodations
  • Ergonomic evaluations
    • Performed as a formal assessment or a walk-through with your safety team
  • On-site injury prevention
    • Screening for musculoskeletal symptoms that could develop into OSHA recordables
  • Educational and stretching programs
    • These are customized to your company’s specific needs
  • Post-injury services and work-hardening
    • This is an intensive, 3-5 times per week program designed to return an employee to work following an injury. The program integrates physical, cardiovascular, and psychosocial components to provide a comprehensive approach to the return to work process.
  • Functional capacity evaluations (FCE)
    • Our HealthWorks therapists are certified in the Ergoscience FCE and software system

The HealthWorks program uses BTE Equipment which provides advanced technology to test functional performance using work simulation tasks. This versatile equipment allows the therapist to measure baseline performance and objectively track progress of how well the therapy is working. By closely simulating the body positions, tools used, and activities that employees need to perform in the workplace, our program helps make sure individuals receive the care that they need to remain productive employees.

The HealthWorks Advantage

Injured employees return to work sooner and safer with this proactive approach, with less recurrence of injury. Transitional duty and return to work planning are enhanced by objective data regarding the employee’s ability to perform the physical demands of the job.

On-site education programs promote job-specific injury prevention techniques and hands-on learning for improved outcomes. The HealthWorks staff are skilled in the unique needs of returning injured employees to productive employment in a cost effective manner. Early intervention strategies such as ergonomics and symptom recognition can minimize the incidence and severity of injuries.
