Being able to enjoy your life should feel easy. Throughout your lifespan, there may be times when different situations occur that can make meaningful tasks involved in daily living (self-care, eating, gardening, driving, or work tasks) feel difficult. Occupational therapy can help target the source of the problem in these situations to get you back to the activities you enjoy the most.
We have four different locations where our certified occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants are specially trained in evaluation and customizing treatment plans for various musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cognitive, and perceptual disorders.
Most commonly we work with injuries affecting the upper extremities – from finger lacerations or amputations to wrist fractures, strains/sprains, or even shoulder tendonitis or rotator cuff repair surgeries – our occupational therapists have training to cover all upper extremity injuries. In addition, we commonly work with patients who have had a stroke or neurological complication to regain their hand function and general coordination. Our occupational therapy services extend to pediatric patients with sensory processing disorders (at our Lake Mills and Fort Atkinson sites) or developmental delays as well as comprehensive education on adaptive equipment for anyone with a medical complication to regain abilities on completion of self-care tasks.
Using the latest and most reliable sources for evidence, it is our goal as occupational therapists to develop a treatment plan that will allow you to complete all the activities you need and want to do in order to live your life to the fullest. Stop by today and start living!
